Nosara, Costa Rica - June 30 thru July 9, 2007 - Entire Photo Collection

The entire photo collection from this year's trip is located at the following links:

Nosara 2007 Group1
Nosara 2007 Group2
Nosara 2007 Group3

I had to break down the collection into 500 shot groups for the Google Picasa upload program. Shots appear in the order that they came out of the camera and should match closely to the time/date sequence in which they were taken. All pics were shot with a Nikon D50 with a Nikkor 55-200 mm AF zoom lens.

The BEST way to view the images is with the SLIDESHOW option. It automatically maximizes the image size to match your monitor - regular or widescreen. Also, you can change the slide show speed (default is 4 seconds per image). You can also adjust the thumbnail size for scanning through the collection to find the pictures you want. In addition, you can navigate up a level and see all the public folders I have posted without having to go back to this page from PicasaWeb . Please keep in mind that I reserve ownership and all rights to pictures that don't have identifiable people.

The images in this collection are in 1500 by 1000 pixel format. That's great for 4 by 6 prints, and great for computer viewing. But it's not very good for larger prints or for zooming in. With the full out-of-camera (3000 by 2000 pixels) images, you can zoom in (crop) by a factor of 3 to 4 over what you see on your computer monitor, and still have a good clear image if the shot was good to start with.

In the rare event that someone wants to print larger than 4 by 6 or wants to get fancy with Photoshop and crop their pictures, they will need to get the full out-of-camera images from me. To do that, you need to identify the images you want very clearly to me. Either as "shot xxx in group y" or by the DSC_xxxx.JPG number. The DSC numbers are out there, but you have to click the "more info" tab on the right when viewing an individual image. You can also see the DSC number from the slide show by moving the mouse curser over the the address bar at the top of the screen while an image is displayed. I will simply upload the full pixel version to replace the smaller version in the slideshow and you can download it. (No, I don't charge you anything for doing this).

Suzanne (aka: Surf Mom) gets credit for the vast majority of the photos this year. I was "gone surfing" most of the time. Obviously she likes that 3-frame-per-second auto fire mode.

Enjoy!
