This page is dedicated to Rebecca Austin, an active competitor in the North Central Florida ESA. Although she lives closer to New Smyrna Beach, she frequently surfs the Cocoa Beach Area and heads our way for the big surf contests. Rebecca's photos have been showing up in CFLsurf slide shows for several years. A full time model and student at Valencia she still devotes her weekends to surfing and perfecting her technique. She can usually be seen at all the local contests and charitable events from Jax to Jupiter. Although she has been competing in the shortboard division for the past 4 years, she recently began competing on longboards. She says that switching it up is all part of learning different tricks. We are watching for Rebecca to start collecting longboard trophies real soon! Rebecca began surfing at age 11, and now at 19 is pondering a future in the professional
world of surfing. Rebecca currently surfs a 5'11” Quiet Flight Sting Fish and a 9'6” Quiet Flight GTO Performance Series. She says she would
